Muscular Dystrophy knows no geographical borders. Kids just like Doug all over the world suffer from the same debilitating disorder. When I started Ride For Doug, one of the things I wanted to do was unite motorcyclists around the world in a common cause. The power of the human spirit, when multiplied globally, is capable of a great many things. In 2007, we had riders from more than a half dozen countries on at least 3 different continents riding for Doug. From as far north as Alaska, to as far south as New Zealand. We even had a couple of celebraties riding in the wild of Africa. In 2008, riders in Poland, 3 US States, and Alberta joined us in a Ride For Doug.
If you would like to organize a more formal local Ride For Doug - please talk to me. I'd be happy to list your ride on the site, and send you helpful info on Muscular Dystrophy and charity ride organization.

It doesn't matter where you're from, or where you ride. You can join us on the Ride For Doug. Call your friends, or ride alone, it doesn't matter. Just get out there on Sunday, June 1st and ride. Every journey begins with a single mile. What begins with a few of us can grow. The awareness, hope, and support can span the globe. Together, we can show that world that four wheels may move the body, but two wheels move the soul.
