This year we are proud to announce the addition of "Show and Shine for MD". It's a way for the car guys to particpate too.

What an INCREDIBLE year! RFD2023 felt like a rebirth of the warm and sunny good old days! In an updated total - we raised $25,000!

71 motorcycles
48 cars

$20,000 was raised for Muscular Dystrophy Canada. These funds will be used to supporte work they do for families accross Canada with Neuromuscular Disorders.

The balance will be going to fund the next peices of mobility equipment needed - and to get Doug into the passenger seat of his race car.

Ride For Doug has a sister ride on Vancouver Island. It too raises money for Muscular Dystrophy Canada.

Sunday Sept. 10th, 2023

Since many Lower mainland riders come out for this, the ride will be finished to fit better with return ferry schedules. Follow our Facebook page for meetup locations if you want to ride to the Ferry together with Doug.

All money raised by this ride goes to Muscular Dystrophy Canada.

Donate to Ride For Doug

Over the first 17 years of Ride For Doug, you have helped raise over $300,000 for Muscular Dystrophy Canada. This money has supported research, and funded equipment for Muscular Dystrophy patients. You have additionally raised over $50,000 for special projects for Doug himself. (such as the Stair Lift Project in 2016, and towards the vehicle he we purchased in 2022) Thank you.

These links will be available for a short time post-ride if you still want to donate.

Who does Ride For Doug Support

At Ride For Doug you get to choose where your support goes.

One option is to support Muscular Dystrophy Canada. This organization assists families of those in the fight against Muscular Dystrophy. By selecting the GIVE TO MDC button, you will be helping with this key organization.

A second option is to support special projects for Doug's family. RFD has helped Doug with several large funding gaps in healthcare. At this point in time, there is not a specific piece of equipment needed, but as his mobility changes, Doug will need further equipment and accessibility renovations.

Regardless of which option you choose, we feel your support. Thank you.

Give to Muscular Dystrophy Canada

Give directly to Muscular Dystrophy Canada. Donate to this year’s ride or register as a fundraiser to join us in the fight against Muscular Dystrophy.

Over the past 16 years, RFD participants have raised nearly $300,000 for MDC. This money has gone on to fund research, purchase equipment, and educate people about Muscular Dystrophy.

Donate to Get Doug Racing (and more)

There is more to living than simply breathing in and out. Nobody embodies this more than Doug. Last year, we had a custom hoist designed and built to get him onto a motorcycle. Barrier raised - barrier conquored.

Now he wants to go racing. Follow the Give to Projects link to see how you can help Doug take another step into motorsports.
