This year marks a special milestone as we celebrate 20 years of RFD. To honour two decades of community and chrome, we are evolving our format to bring our car and motorcycle enthusiasts closer together than ever before.
As Doug ages, his body can't ride long distances. This is why we are growing the Car side of the event. 2026 is likely the last year Doug will ride with us as a passenger. Next year he will be focused on the car side.
We’re shifting into high gear! To give our car community the spotlight it deserves, the show now kicks off at 10:00 AM and runs all the way until 3:00 PM. More time to polish, more time to show off, and more time to talk shop.
We’ve timed this year’s ride perfectly. We’re hitting the road from Noon to 2:00 PM, allowing for maximum overlap with the Car Show. This means whether you’re on two wheels or four, there’s plenty of time before and after the ride for everyone to head over and check out the chrome!
We aren't just riding and showing—we’re throwing a massive 20th-anniversary bash! Whether you’re here for the engines or the community, the BBQ is the heart of the day. We’re talking high-energy games, big-time prizes, and the crowning of this year’s trophy winners.
Riders & Car Show Entries: Good news—your BBQ feast is fully included in your registration!
The More, The Merrier: You don’t need a classic car or a custom bike to join the party. Everyone is welcome to grab a plate and help Doug and his family celebrate 20 years of fighting Muscular Dystrophy.
Come for the food, stay for the cause, and let's make this milestone year one for the record books!
Registration for our 20th Anniversary is opening soon, and space is strictly limited. To ensure a great experience for everyone, we will be capping both Rider and Car entries once the lot is full—and new for this year, pre-registration is required for all Celebration BBQ guests too!
To date, Ride for Doug has raised over $360,000 for Muscular Dystrophy Canada - and over $70,000 in direct support of Doug's equipment needs. You have helped make a difference in hundreds of lives and we thank you.

At Ride For Doug you get to choose where your support goes.
One option is to support Muscular Dystrophy Canada. This organization assists families of those in the fight against Muscular Dystrophy. By selecting the GIVE TO MDC button, you will be helping with this key organization.
A second option is to support special projects for Doug's family. RFD has helped Doug with several large funding gaps in healthcare. At this point in time, there is not a specific piece of equipment needed, but as his mobility changes, Doug will need further equipment and accessibility renovations.
Regardless of which option you choose, we feel your support. Thank you.
Living with Musular Dystrophy is expensive. Many pieces of equipment are not funded by government healthcare. Private healthcare and charities help with some purchese - but DMD patients are contantly updaing their medical eqipment.
Special Projects has been used for installing stairlifts, ceiling lifts, an accessible vehicle, and more.
The Special Project fund helps the Penners cover these gaps when they arise.
